We are heavily utilizing the text messaging feature of Exchange 2010 for Calendar
reminders to be sent out as SMS text messages. One of the options is to have
meetings changes that occur in the next 'n' days to be sent out as an alert.
Under that option there's a checkbox to indicate that these notifications
should only be sent during working hours. Our Exchange server doesn't seem to
be honoring the working hours set on that mailbox.
I've verified the time zone on the mailbox is set to the local time zone and that
the working hours are set correctly (8am-5pm). When someone at our Asia sites
updates a meeting during our night for a meeting occurring the next day it immediately
sends the update to the recipient at our site and wakes them up.
Am I mis-interpreting who’s working hours it’s using to determine if the message
should be sent? Or is it using some other value than the working hours set on
the mailbox? Has anyone else run into a similar issue?
