"Cannot load Windows PowerShell snap-in Microsoft.PowerShell.Security because of the following error: Could not load file or assembly 'file:///C:\Windows\System 32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\Microsoft.PowerShell.Security.dll' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."
I have checked the path specified, and the file is not located there, however, when looking at another windows 7 installation, the file is missing from that location as well, but works just fine. On the workstation I attempted to install the Exchange management console on, PowerShell will not start. If I run powershell.exe from a cmd line, I get the error above as well.
Since PowerShell V2 is already installed, obviously it can't be re-installed. I've tried running a repair with the Windows 7 DVD, but as it's patched to SP1, the original disk doesn't work. Neither does re-applying the Service Pack.
Have just about given up on installing the Exchange tools and will probably do so on another computer, but would be nice to get powershell working again.
