For my university i am writing an essay for a company group. The group exists out of 6 different seperated company's on different locations.
The company's in the group have their own buildings and there own business. At all 6 locations they have there own Small Business Server with Exchange Server 2003, and there own domains:
for example
@company1.nl
@company2.nl
@company3.nl
@company4.nl
@company5.nl
@company6.nl
Im researching the possibility to centralize the mail servers to one location with a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010. Is it even possible to put 6 different domains in one exchange server in one location with the conservation of emailadresses and the old mailboxes. There will be +/- 100 mailadresses have to be transported. Correct me if iam wrong but there will have to be one (clean) installation of Server 2008 in the central company, with an installation and the prerequisites of Microsoft Exchange server 2010, or can a already existing exchange server on the central location behave like the central groupware server. What configuration is there to set on the old exchange servers ? Is there somewhere where i can find some more information about this type of migrations. I'll appreciate any help, im still learning. There is full co-operation from the company's. Thank you in advance
