I have configured a new SBS 2011 Server running Exchange 2010 SP2.
The default domain (let's say domain1.com) has been configured and is receiving mail as expected, for example...
jcrowe-MacBook-Pro-2:~ jcrowe$ telnet 12.34.56.78 25 Trying 12.34.56.78... Connected to domain1.isp.co.uk. Escape character is '^]'. 220 domain1.com Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service, Version: 6.0.3790.3959 ready at Sun, 4 Nov 2012 22:17:29 +0000 ehlo test.test 250-domain1.com Hello [9.10.11.12] 250-TURN 250-SIZE 250-ETRN 250-PIPELINING 250-DSN 250-ENHANCEDSTATUSCODES 250-8bitmime 250-BINARYMIME 250-CHUNKING 250-VRFY 250-X-EXPS GSSAPI NTLM LOGIN 250-X-EXPS=LOGIN 250-AUTH GSSAPI NTLM LOGIN 250-AUTH=LOGIN 250-X-LINK2STATE 250-XEXCH50 250 OK mail from: sender@test.test 250 2.1.0 sender@test.test....Sender OK rcpt to: test@domain1.com 250 2.1.5 test@domain1.com
That's great, exactly what I'd expect...
So I continue to setup my second domain (domain2.com)... I add it to the 'Accepted Domains' as Authoritative in EMC, setup a few users with domain2.com email addresses and restart the 'Microsoft Exchange Transport' service... I telnet from an external IP as before, but exchange is rejecting the recipient as so...
rcpt to: test@domain2.com 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for test@domain2.com
I have confirmed domain2.com is listed from Get-Accepted-Domain
I have spent a good couple of hours crawling the web trying to figure this out but I don't seem to be getting anywhere, what have I done wrong (or just not done)?
