Exchange Management Console connecting to removed server

Hello,

we recently removed a CAS Server from our Exchange 2010 SP2 environment.
Since that day the EMC of a management server still tries to connect to the removed server an fails.

The workaround is connecting the console manually to an Exchange Forest.

But how do i tell this EMC to automatically choose an active Exchange server?

For your information, the DNS Name of the removed server is now the name for the CAS Array (incl. NLB).
