Exchange 2010 and 2007 Coexisting

I just build a new exchange 2010 server and moved few test mailboxes from exchange 2007. I am performing testing before I start moving other mailboxes. The outlook client works fine however I am having trouble accessing the user's mailbox on exchange 2007 using OWA. The OWA is pointing to exchange 2010. I have no problem opening up the test mailboxes which are on exchange 2010. I am unable to open the mailboxes sitting on exchange 2007 using exchange 2010 OWA. I am getting following message upon logon.

>>> A server configuration change is temporarily preventing access to your account.
Please close all Web browser windows and try again in a few minutes. If the
problem continues, contact your helpdesk. <<<

Is there any work around?

in my office have 3 forest. that are connect whith firwall. no connect to internet. in every forest is a exchange server and i dont need to edge server.now i need to connect exchange Together . how i set it

Hi All

I am looking for some inputs in configuring autodiscoversitescope configuration for users in account forest with multi AD site and exchagne 2010 is resource forest with multi AD site environment. I am tring to avoid outlook to choose random CAS server to query for autodiscover service

Please share some light on this

send connector delivery restriction with exchange 2010

hi all,

we have 2003 exchange and we heavily use delivery restriction on send connector

all user have no permission to send externally to any domain

then we create send connector to each domain and set it restricted by default then add user to exception if he has the permission to send to this domain

we want to upgrade to 2010 but there is no delivery restriction on send connector does any one know any other way to do this on 2010

problem with exchange 2003

Hi

i have problem with exchange 2003

when i try send mail to spicific domain i got error:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

      Subject:   

      Sent: 20/12/2012 10:04 AM

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

     xxxxxxxxxx on 20/12/2012 10:04 AM

            There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's email server.  Please contact your system administrator.

            <xxxxxxxxxx #5.5.0 smtp;550 Recipient address rejected: Relaying denied>

i check few stuff:

1. check in google and they recommend to in relay restricitions under tab relay and 

check "allow all computers which succesfulyy authenticate to relay, regardless of the list above". i did it

2.check with my isp provider and they say that in my exchange 2003 problem 

3. when i try send mail to this domain from telnet , its working

what can to be a problem in exchange, 

i cant send mail to all mailbox on this domain (they can send to me)

Exchange 2010 Install fails at hub transport install $error.clear()

Hi guys. I'm installing Exchange 2010 for the 3rd time as my other configurations were not perfect. I did a safe uninstall on 2 of the three failed and the first one I accidentally killed the machine before cleaning it up properly. I have cleaned out my domain using ADSI edit though, and as far as I can tell it it sterile. Now, when I try to install Exchange 2010 on a brand new 2008R2 server it gets to the Hub Transport Role and fails. The error is:

OAB Downloads fail with 0x80190197

Hello,

We are in the process of transitioning from Exchange 2007 to 2010, both servers are coexisting right now, some mailboxes are in 2007 and some have been moved to 2010.

OAB Downloads fail with 0x80190197 error.

and on the CAS server when I ran Exbpa analayzer, I am getting the following error:

How to Forward an E-mail's subject only

Hello Professionals,

I have a requirement from my client, So here it goes: Every Mailbox will receive an E-mail and I want that specific E-mail to be forwarded to its manager. The forwarding part is done, but the main requirement is that I need only the Subject of the E-mail to forwarded to the Manager's inbox. Do can I make this rule in powershell?

Maximum Message Size and Attachment Size

Hi, currently we are using Exchange 2010 and set the maximum message size to 10MB. When I sent an email with attachment of 10MB then it bounced back as message below:

This message wasn't delivered to anyone because it's too large. The limit is 9MB. This message is 10MB.

I am wondering how come the limit is 9MB instead of 10MB in the bounced back message? Is they anyway to set the size limit for message and attachment separately?

hey

i got an error event 1069 & 1558

i saw some posts with this issue but without solution..

when i check MailboxDatabaseCopyStatus all the databases are healthy and mounted.

all the cluster resource are up, but this event is still report me every 15 min.

there is another thing that i can do ?

Setting up MX records for multiple Exchange Domains

I have a windows 2008 server which is the DC and MS 2010 Exchange Server. The AD domain name is abc.net, but the email domains i wish to host are 123.com and xzy.com. I have setup separate OU's and UPN suffixes in the AD for 123.com and xyz.com and also created two accepted domains in EMC and set up rules. I am a bit confused with the way I need to setup the MX records. When I navigate to my DNS Server -> Forward Lookup Zones, i only see abc.net and the A record for it. When i try to create new A records, MX records or CNAME it all points only to abc.net. What is the correct way to setup the A, MX and CNAMEs for 123.com and xyz.com

User Mailbox

Hi Everyone,

I'm having a challenge with a users mailbox when activating active sync, when i try my account on his iPad it works but when i set his account it goes through but doesn't pull mails giving an error "Cannot Get Mail, The connection to the server failed". i have verified the settings,ensured active sync is enabled on the user properties. 

What could be causing this? Is there a way of checking mailbox for errors?

I'm running exchange 2010 SP2 on server 2008 R2. I've published active sync using TMG 2010.

Exchange 2010 OAB generation fails and causes a reboot on 2008R2 Domain Controller with event ID 1000

We are currently in the process of migrating from Exch 2007 to Exch 2010. 2 new 2010 servers are installed and operational in the Organization. I noticed that immediately after the first Exch 2010 server installation, the OAB generation started failing with event IDs 9332 and 9126 on the generating Exchange server. At exactly the same time, Application event ID 1000 and 1015 is logged on the particular DC and this causes an unexpected crash and reboot on the DC.

Event ID 9332 on Exch 2010 server

OABGen encountered error 80040115 (internal ID 50008df) while building the address or display template files on Active Directory CPTDC02 for address list '\Global Address List' .

I suspected some permission errors in AD, so re-ran setup /preparead, runs thru successfully, but did not correct the OAB error. I have checked some object permissions in ADSIEDIT and compared them to a DC in my LAB, all seems to be more or less the same.

Anyone got any ideas?

Outlook 2007 fails downloading OAB every morning

Hi

I have a strange problem. Every morning when people starts Outlook 2007 it logs 0x801901B8.

The setup is Exchange 2010 with a CAS array. I only use OAB web distribution.

Here comes the strange part :-)

I I make a manual sync of the OAB it Works.
If I do a "Test E-mail autoconfiguration" everythings seems ok.
If I try to connect to http://casarray/oab/"oabguid"/oab.xlm everything is okay.

Why does the Outlook clients fail on the first sync every morning?

What can I try?

I'm trying to install Exchange SP2 on Windows 2008 server SP1 the 

Exchange 2010 SP2 Upgrade “Setup cannot continue with the upgrade because the ‘dpwinsdr’ () process (ID:7712) has open files. Close the process and restart Setup”

How to solve this issue?

Unable to Re-connect Mailbox in Exchange 2010 after server Re-Install

Hope someone can help with this issue I am having.

I reinstalled our SBS2011 and set up the user accounts (5 in total) from scratch with the same domain and account details.  I then restored the Exchange database and followed the steps to make it a clean shutdown and have successfully mounted it as a recovery database. 

The mailboxes all show as disconnected mailboxes but I am unable to connect them. When I follow the connection wizard and choose either matching or existing user, the users do not appear. 

I have tried to use powershell to import them into the existing mailboxes but it seems only the inbox and folders get imported but no emails get imported into the folders that were created within the inbox or sent items folder etc.

Anyone know of a way to reconnect these mailboxes properly and / or export the contents to pst? I'm really struggling with this. Thanks in advance.

550 5.7.1 Unable to relay

Recently we had added new accepted domain xyz.in in our Exchange 2010 (14.2.328.10) Server and also created associated recipient policy for the same. This domain is hosted with third party and is relaying the messages after scanning to our Exchange Server.

Now it’s seen that this relaying works perfect i.e. after sending mails from other domains like gmail, yahoo, etc. it arrives at respective user mailbox in xyz.in but suddenly stops working and sender receive message as follows:

Hello, this is the mail server on (name of hosting server).

I am sending you this message to inform you on the delivery status of a
message you previously sent.  Immediately below you will find a list of
the affected recipients; also attached is a Delivery Status Notification
(DSN) report in standard format, as well as the headers of the original
message.

  <test@xyz.in> delivery failed; will not continue trying

Final-Recipient: rfc822; test@xyz.in

Also if Exchange Server is restarted after this issue, the relaying starts working again but same issue occurs after some time.

outlook anywhere in exchange server 2013

After i configuration POP3 and IMAP4 and outlookAnyWhere 
i try to connect to e-mail in outlook 2010 but i'v seen this my account i'm tried to configuring it

and when try to connect this message still appear 

if i click cancel i'v show this error

Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password in your account properties. Under Tools, click E-mail accounts.  The server responded: -ERR Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.

with both methods of SSL and without it
